Pep Guardiola will sign the contract renewal on February 22

Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola, signed on February 22 to renew his contract until June 2012, as announced by the entity Barca. The idea of both the club and the coach is to take that during that time the team has no intersemanal commitment to initial the agreement, since it is designed not to interfere with the normal dynamics of the team.

With continued Guardiola, the coach will become the fourth coach in more consecutive seasons in first team football, after Johan Cruyff, Frank Rijkaard and Jack Greenwell. The most consecutive seasons coaching at the club was Cruyff, who arrived in 1988 and remained on the bench Barca until 1996, a period in which Barcelona won 4 leagues and its first European Cup.
