Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, was dropped at the last minute for the match on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao because of a left knee injury. Team doctors reported that 29-year janitor accused pain in the knee and the floor is for "a precaution." Valdes had played in all 23 games of the current champion in the Spanish league, which goes before Standings.
