Olympique Marseille will have to redo its books. The cause: an increase in rent for the Velodrome. To believe in Team Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, the club owner should meet Jean-Claude Gaudin, Mayor of Marseilles, to discuss this possibility. Currently, OM pays 1.5 million euros per year for rent of the stadium.
Gaudin would get for the future stadium to be renovated nearly 8 million annually. A substantial sum, although the club's revenue will be revised upwards later from the proceeds of the ticket, which will increase along with the number of places in the future Velodrome (67000 seats). But leaders Olympians do not want those profits go entirely in the rent of the stadium.
For that, we'll have to play tight with the city of Marseille.
