Atletico Madrid signed Juanfran Torres

Atletico Madrid at the end Juanfran Torres joined Osasuna, and the player signed a four-year contract that will keep him in Atletico until 2015. Spanish press reports indicate that Atletico paid just over four million euros (5.2 billion) by Juanfran, who is expected to occupy the post of Simao Sabrosa after the departure of the Portuguese to Besiktas.

Atletico coach Quique Sanchez Flores, Juanfran convened for Thursday's game against Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey. Juanfran, who turned 26 on Sunday, came from the Academy of Real Madrid and also played for Espanyol before joining with Osasuna in the 2006-07 season.

He scored 12 goals in 148 games with Osasuna.
