Didier Deschamps has experienced a year-end 2010 and early 2011 difficult. The Olympic team since the beginning of December has been a victory against Chelsea (1-0, 8 December) in six games in all competitions. Although he readily admits that Marseille is far behind in the title race, he points to a lack of points that must be corrected quickly.
"In terms of outcome, this is not enough, we've taken four points out of fifteen possible in recent matches. Obviously this is not enough and it makes sense that there are teams ahead of us. We have not been successful and others who were performing there are ... Apart from Lille in front with six points ahead of us in theory.
We could have lost the championship on the first part. You can never win on the first part. In the second half of the season, we can win and we did not lose. Simply in terms of result, we have a deficit of points "said Marseille coach who expects his team back on track from this Sunday to face Girondins de Bordeaux.
