The striker Giuseppe Rossi on Tuesday renewed his contract with Villarreal until the end of the 2015-2016 season. Rossi is the Spanish club's top scorer this season with 19 goals in 30 games. The Vice-Villarreal, José Manuel Llaneza, said the renewal "is not good news it is big news." Simpson felt that the attacker is "among the five or six best strikers in the world and will continue at Villarreal for many years." The 22 years old, born in New Jersey, recorded 66 goals in 121 games since joining Villarreal in 2007 from Manchester United.
