Houllier admits he was wrong on Pires

Last week, the media release referring to friction between Gerard Houllier and his men in the locker room at Aston Villa had done well on the noise in the Birmingham club. The two men are explained and the French manager has put a lot of water in his wine at the time to return to this media outlet a bit premature just weeks after the arrival of Robert Pires in the club.

"He said he was disappointed not to play and do not necessarily included. But it was a normal feeling for a professional player. We discussed frankly, and I reckon I made a mistake, maybe I should not have done too little playing time after his arrival. He said he had no pace and he needed a month to be ready.

Now it is much better, and it will be very helpful, "assured Gerard Houllier, who hoped that the results and return in the form of Pires, this folder will close very quickly.
