The stage of Barcelona today is for women only

As announced last couple of weeks, the Presidential Box at the Camp Nou has been composed solely of women, thanks to an agreement made by the Board with the Treasurer of the club FC Barcelona and Pilar Susana Monje Guinovart, responsible for the social area. The idea of the club has been to honor all women and this has filled the stage of female figures from both government recognized in other areas of the Catalan public life.

These include, in addition to women of the board of Barcelona, the president of the Catalan Parliament, Nuria de Gispert, Vice President of the Government of the Generalitat, Joana Ortega, Emma Gamper, who is the granddaughter of Joan Gamper, founder of club, the first basketball coach and Lolita Laura Ramos and Inmaculada Ortiz heads that are two players of the first women's soccer team FC Barcelona.

This action serves to celebrate in advance the International Women's Day (celebrated on March 8th) and aims to reposition the important work that women have played in the club since 1913 when they recorded the first member (Edelmira Calvet) to key moments such as 1934 when Anna Maria Martinez was the first woman to serve on the Board.

The President of Barcelona and Zaragoza took place in an area near the stage regularly occupied by visitors authorities.
