E 'approved the format of the European qualifiers for the World Cup 2014. This was decided by the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Paris that the 53 participating teams will be divided into 8 groups of 6 and one 5. The nine group winners will advance to the World Cup, while the 8 best runners-up will create a series of double play-offs will determine the final four participants in the European tournament.
