Six filed suit against Spanish clubs in the League suspension

Espanyol, Villarreal, Real Zaragoza, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad Sevilla filed a lawsuit in civil proceedings in the courts of Madrid, in challenging the suspension of the thirtieth day of the Premier League agreed by the Football League Professional, on 11 February. The lawsuit also requested the adoption of certain preventive measures to the dispute of that day as scheduled in the current calendar, April 2, or at least the six club matches applicants to report Sevilla and Villarreal in their respective websites.

These six teams have sent letters to the LFP, Royal Spanish Football Federation and Mediapro, urging them to allocate schedules for such thirtieth day and the appointment of referees for the same. The six, along with Manchester, opposed the lockout yesterday seeking, inter alia, annul the obligation to deliver a game open all hours and gambling law changed, believing "it is disproportionate, inappropriate, contrary to the interests of clubs, competition and the fans, "said in its statement.

Professional Soccer League held yesterday its decision to suspend the next day, not having "significant progress" in their requests to the Government, explained José Luis Astiazaran, president of the LFP, which advanced that, in this case, "there is throughout the entire calendar, the only way "in his opinion, to finish the championship as it has to end."
