Record transfer fee: Torres goes to Chelsea - for 60 million €

For the record sum of € 60 million Spanish hero Fernando Torres is EM-leave English football's most successful Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC switch. Liverpool were on Monday evening announced on his website to have agreed with the Blues to a change of striker. And that's not all: even the Chelsea defender David Luiz wooing won.

The Brazilian Benfica will be eligible for a transfer of 25 million € to London. Torres - who has in the European Championship final against Germany in 2008 scored the only goal - and Luiz now need only pass the medical check, then fix the deal. The Liverpool fans in any case were angered by the departure of their former favorite.
