After finishing the 2007-2008 season, Giovani dos Santos took one of the toughest decisions of his life. Closed a long period with FC Barcelona to take suitcases bound for England for more minutes at the professional level. In an interview for the magazine Don Balon, the current Racing Santander player recalls that period in which he defended by saying that Barcelona Barça wear the jacket was the most that has happened in his career.
The Mexican player admitted that he regretted leaving the Blaugrana discipline and now feel a stronger and more mature player. "I spent many years at the club and to go I had to make a difficult decision, you have to think much. In the end what I wanted to play a bit more," said the Mexican.
Gio took time to praise the quality and footballing ability that has his brother Jonathan Dos Santos who plays for Barcelona B in the Spanish second division but acts at times with the core staff team. "He has great qualities and is also the best team in the world. You have to be patient because eventually get to show their quality," he said.
Also the largest of the dynasty noted that Jonathan is a loved and valued player in the institution. "He's very happy.'s Playing in the Second Division to a very good, then you really value," he said. On his future as a footballer said that the bad experiences he has lived in his career have made him a more mature player and he hoped that the bitter fall behind and can demonstrate their ability to Racing Santander.
"I see a good future, I'm working hard for it. I have gone through many experiences that I have made it stronger. I hope I leave things here better," said the Mexican league. Finally Dos Santos talked about Lionel Messi agreed with the team he led at that time that Frank Rijkaard, whom he praises as the best in the world.
