He beats his two teammates Barça Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, yet world champion with Spain. Messi, 23, becomes the fifth player in history to win a second Golden Ball in a row after Platini, Cruyff, Keegan, and Van Basten Rummenigge.
