Cristiano Ronaldo considered unfair selection FIFA Golden Ball

Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid striker, considered unfair teammate Iker Casillas did not appear in the final shortlist to win the Golden Ball Cup, which went to Argentina's Lionel Messi, of Barcelona. "Casillas is a field player and has the same value as the others. I am of the opinion that Iker should be among the three nominees this year.

He won the World Cup, has made things very good," said the Lusitanian. Apart from Messi, the Spanish Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, also from Barcelona, were the finalists who aspired to win the award that distinguishes the best player of 2010, however, Ronaldo insisted that the selection of players for the award was not appropriate.

"I do not understand the concept of FIFA to deliver the Golden Ball, but I would be very happy if he won a doorman because he deserves it," he added. CR7 was welcomed by his compatriot Jose Mourinho, Technical Director at Real Madrid and who received the Golden Ball for Best of 2010. "Those who are professionals are the top earners in life.

It happens to both players and the coaches, so I knew he would win, because otherwise it would be unfair," he said. The Portuguese international was selected by FIFA as a member of Dream Team player in 2010 and he won the Golden Ball in 2008.
