Indian businessman wants to Racing Santander

Syed Ali Ahsan told El Diario Montanes in the region of Cantabria that the club is "a club with tremendous growth potential" and that "part of my strategy of long-term investment in the professional sports industry." Depending on the version of the paper, the entrepreneur seeks to become "the new owner of the parcel of shares to control the club." Syed Ali said the deal could close soon through its subsidiary Western Gulf Advisory, based in Bahrain.

The WGA website (the acronym of the company) said that the firm is dedicated to financial investments. Miguel Angel Revilla, President of the Government of Cantabria regional trade, "welcomed" the Indian businessman and offers "guarantees" of investment in the club.
