Nantes hope rather than Taiwo to Benfica?

Benfica Lisbon activated to find a replacement for Fabio Coentrao. To offset the departure of its more than likely left side to Real Madrid next summer (we're talking about a transfer fee of nearly 30 million euros), the Portuguese club have checked the particular name Taye Taiwo Free in June, on its shelves.

But OM has not said its last word on this issue and expects to extend his player. According to the Portuguese newspaper Record, Benfica would in any case already found a possible replacement in the person of Lionel Carole. Formed at FC Nantes, the 19-year-old undisputed holder in his lane left this season.

But as Taiwo, Carole comes out of contract and the Canaries have not yet renewed its lease. His performances in Ligue 2 would have convinced the people of Lisbon to seize this opportunity. The Portuguese player and the club would have already agreed on a pre-contract for five years. Remains now is whether this would mean that abandons Benfica trail to Taiwo.
