Estadio La Rose turns 70

Estadio La Rosaleda, local precinct where he plays as Manuel Pellegrini Malaga, 70 years old today, because there was held the first official match on April 13, 1941 between the CD Malacitano, former name of Malaga, and AD Railway Madrid, which killed local victory (6-0). The official opening of the Rose Garden took place on September 14, 1941 with a friendly match between Manchester CD, new name, and Sevilla, who finished tied at two goals. From that moment, La Rose, remodeled twice hosted the World Cup in Spain in 1982 with the selections of New Zealand, Scotland, Brazil and the Soviet Union, and a meeting of the second round of European Cup between Real Madrid and FC Brugge due to the closure of the Santiago Bernabeu.

He has also received promotion to the First Division and relegation to the Second of all Malacitano and international meetings of the Spanish and UEFA Cup contested by the Málaga CF.
