LeBron James new shareholder of Liverpool

LONDON, April 7 - Liverpool have a new shareholder is the NBA basketball star LeBron James has bought a minority share of the Fenway Sports Group, the investment company that controls the Reds. The agreement provides that the company headed by John W. Henry, and owner of the franchise baseball Boston Red Sox, handle all the image rights of the American champion in exchange for a stake.

Announcement of the signing - the Guardian writes today - James said to "be very happy to be part of an organization so important" and said he was "eager to visit Anfield," the home of Liverpool. Were not disclosed details of the transaction. James, 26 years from this year's Miami Heat, is one of the highest paid athletes in the world with an annual salary of over € 13 million and sponsorship (McDonald's, Nike, and Coca-Cola Bubbilicious) in excess of 20 million.
