Victory in Freiburg: Now says Hanover on the FC Bayern has

Perfect, brilliant, incredibly well: Intoxicated by a demonstration of their strength, the players and talked of Hanover 96 (almost) only in superlatives. Not only the fact that Lower Saxony only once a great FC Bayern moved over to third place and the Champions League more firmly in sight, conjured a beam in the faces of coach Mirko Slomka and his soccer professionals.

The aplomb with which she on Thursday, the Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen defeated away 3-1 (2-0), had the confidence to rise to levels that even a few months ago seemed almost impossible. "We still have three games, we want to get the maximum," said Slomka. Participation in the Euro League and the first time in 19 years in an international competition with 57 points is virtually certain.

Now 96, the Bayern wants three wins and nine points in the battle for qualification for the Champions League intercept. "We can play free, we have achieved all our goals for the season," said the strong Jan Schlaudraff. "Now we want more." The record holder of Munich can indeed counter with a win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

But Schlaudraff said: "We wanted to increase the pressure on Bayern, and we succeeded." Once more the sophisticated counter-tactics that brought victory in 1996. They left Freiburg initially make the game and beat it to a secure defense out. Before the 0-1 in the 24th Schlaudraff minutes had sent his colleague Mohammed Abdellaoue storm on the trip and the enforced cool.

"This was played out perfectly fast, just our game, because it fit awesome," praised Slomka. "We played in the first half almost perfectly." Even at 0-2, as Schlaudraff was served by Altin Lala, the SC-goalkeeper Oliver Baumann was passing and dry einschob (31). The decision caused Konstantin Rausch with a header for 0-3 (58th), Freiburg, for the ex-Hanoverian Jan Rosenthal struck only 1:3 (79).

Even the loss of Sergio Pinto in midfield and top scorer Didier Ya Konan (both yellow card suspension) prepared in 1996 no problems. Because the substitutes and Schlaudraff Lala were among the strongest on the course - and both are well rewarded with contract extensions. The current contract for the 35-year-old Lala ends at season's end.

When 27-year-old Schlaudraff (2012), who seemed to still be a few months on the sidelines, it should be extended ahead of schedule.
