Mallorca-Barcelona ... The Balearics to give the stroke to the leader

Mallorca will face tomorrow's visit of Barcelona in order to give the stroke in the league and beat the current leader, to be presented in the Balearic capital with low Carles Puyol, Victor Valdes, Xavi and Dani Alves. The team co-directed two former Barca, Dane Michael Laudrup and Miguel Angel Nadal, has thoroughly prepared a game described as "vital" to the interests of the "Reds" in its battle to secure the stay as soon as possible.

Laudrup will be without injured defender Ivan Ramis and the mystery lies in knowing their tactical plans before the almighty Barcelona, who drew a surprising 1-1, during his visit to Camp Nou in the first round of the season. If the coach decides to play the attack Danish, line up end-to Emilio Nsue and Pierre Webó.

Otherwise, a "once" more conservative, will dispense with a forward and strengthen the midfield incorporating five midfielders: Michel Perez, Josep Lluis Martí, Jonathan de Guzman, Gonzalo Castro and Joao Victor. Mallorca has proved to be a solid team in the first round in Son Moix, where only conceded four goals but the recent visit of Sporting de Gijón (0-4) knocked down that statistic.

Laudrup and his players have been very optimistic about the possibility of surprise at Barcelona, a team that accumulates eight seasons without losing in the Balearic capital. The last time the Mallorca pulled a point against the Catalans was Day 25 of the 2001/2002 season when he signed a goalless draw.

The club has described the visit of Barcelona as "the party of the year" and expects a very good turnout at Son Moix. Debut few extra steps for about 700 viewers. Before the game the clubs have organized a party in the vicinity of the field, with a tribute to former tennis player Carlos Moya.

Barcelona visit Mallorca with the desire not to lose the advantage of five points in the lead and managed to take a pulse of one of the two teams that knew how the first round starting points of the Camp Nou. Barca team will subdued to Palma, as Josep Guardiola will be without the suspended Daniel Alves, and the injured Victor Valdes, Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez, all cornerstones of the structure of the starting lineup.

It is the first time this season that the whole coaching Pep Guardiola could not have much of their owners because of injury. A similar situation was happened in the first round, when Barcelona began to suffer the consequences of the World Cup, failing to have eight of their owners. Against Mallorca, goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto, as it did on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou, will own and return to a stadium that holds great memories for the arrest of a penalty in the last two Cup seasons King gave Barcelona a place in the Final.

In defense, to the lower right side Alves and Abidal on the left, the latter because the move to center with Pique, probably placed Guardiola Adriano and Maxwell. More complicated will be the replacement for Xavi in the midfield, as the team loses its referent. Guardiola will have three players to choose from: Mascherano, Keita and young Thiago, the latter with a profile much closer to Xavi, but with less experience than the other two candidates.

- Probable lineups: Mallorca: Aouate; Cendrós, Ruben, Nunes, Kevin, Pereira, Marti, De Guzman, Castro, Nsue, Webó. Barcelona: Pinto, Adriano, Piqué, Abidal, Maxwell, Mascherano or Keita, Busquets, Iniesta, Pedro, Messi, Villa.
